 Clustering crystal dreams open the door to a new evolution Taking out the two Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragons and the Dragon's Mirror frees up my Extra deck for Alsei, the Sylvan High Protector and Sylvan Princessprite as well as one slot in my main deck—Pot of Cupidity should do nicely. While I lose one-turn kill potential, I am gaining overall consistency, speed, and control capabilities. The deck already has a high amount of raw power with the Blue-Eyes White Dragons so it shouldn't be too much of an issue, and I'll still have my Galaxy-Eyes Xyz's. Alright, that should do it. Sitting by herself in one of the ferry's common rooms, with a good couple hours before the ship would reach Duel Academy, Mana was rebuilding her deck. She had already done over a hundred simulation duels against an AI opponent since she built the first draft of her deck and have gone through numerous revisions as she fine-tuned it. Alright, I just have to update the deck on my duel disk. Mana's Duel Disk was a tad different from most duel disks. Instead of accepting cards normally, the user would place the deck in a specially designed deck box, scanning the deck, and as long as the deck remained within the deck box, the duel disk would generate holographic cards of the user's deck for them to use. It was a top of the line luxury model that only the wealthy could afford; fortunately, Mana's family is part of the one percent, allowing her to easily afford the ridiculously expensive duel disk. Huh, that didn't take as long as I thought it would. There's still a good couple hours until we arrive at Duel Academy. What to do? Maybe I could challenge someone to a duel? Immediately, Mana began cowering to her own thoughts. Due to a lack of social skills, Mana was rather shy, an introvert if you will. Furthermore, during the entrance exam, she found herself unable to hold back, absolutely crushing her proctor in a duel. While she is using a different deck now, Mana still feels that she made a mistake in going all out, that she would end up isolating herself again. For now, I'll just go outside for a bit, get some fresh air. I can figure what's next once I'm outside; just take one step at a time. As she walked, Mana could feel the gazes and hear the whispers. Having crushed the test proctor in such a way, Mana had attracted a fair amount of attraction. Some good, some bad, but all were unwanted as she disliked the limelight. While a number of people would likely let the sudden fame and glory get to her head, making them cocky, Mana was the opposite, it made her feel meek and pressured, as if she had to meet the high expectations people had placed on her. While she is able to easily handle it during a duel, outside of one, Mana has trouble dealing with all of the attention. Why did I have to go all out like that during the exam!? WORDS. 510. NOTES. Mana's duel disk is based on Kaiba's Dark Side of Dimensions Duel Disk: reference. Also, the thread takes place on a ship heading towards Duel Academy rather than at its Pier.
